The Yakima SkyBox 16 Carbonite provides 16 cubic feet of additional rooftop storage while keeping a sleek profile designed to help reduce wind resistance and road noise. Its size makes it a practical choice for family road trips, camping equipment, luggage, skis, snowboards, and other bulky gear that would otherwise take up valuable space inside the vehicle.
Dual-sided opening allows the box to be accessed from either the driver or passenger side of the vehicle. Yakima’s SuperLatch locking system helps keep the lid securely closed, while the included SKS locks provide additional security for equipment stored inside.
The integrated mounting hardware installs without tools and is compatible with many factory, aerodynamic, and Yakima StreamLine crossbars. A tapered rear design also helps reduce interference with the vehicle’s rear hatch when properly positioned.
